EtherLoops Dune Vol. 1 is a bank of 50 ambient presets for Synapse Audio DUNE 3: wide two-oscillator pads, soft keys and plucks, tempo-synced arps, Berlin-school and dub sequences, legato basses and leads, evolving textures and five sound-design SFX.

The presets share the EtherLoops sound: dark filtered bodies you open up with the mod wheel, a second oscillator for depth (a sub, an octave or a detuned twin), low unison detune instead of supersaw width, slow free-running movement, and reverb, delay and chorus already set. Everything uses DUNE 3's own factory wavetables, so there is nothing extra to install.

Expression on every preset

Mod wheel: opens the filter on most presets; on some it sweeps the wavetable, adds reverb or vibrato
Aftertouch: vibrato, swell, resonance or filter bite, depending on the preset
Velocity: level and filter-envelope depth on keys, plucks, arps, sequences and leads
Play style: arps: play a chord · sequences: hold one note · leads and basses: legato with glide

Slow Lantern: warm saw-table pad over a soft sub layer
Moss Choir: soft vocal-formant pad with a detuned saw bed
Glass Harbour: bell-tinted harmonic pad, warm body
Fog Engine: detuned analog pad, pulse undertone, slow filter drift
Amber Field: pulse-table pad with airy sine octave
Cellar Moon: dark low pad, deep and slow
Velvet Drift: string-ensemble pad: saw plus detuned pulse, phased
Paper Sky: airy additive pad with a soft fifth above
Iron Lull: metallic phase-distortion pad over a saw octave down
Polar Hymn: organ pad with harmonic octave, cathedral space

Dusk Solo: brassy two-osc solo lead with filter swell
Prism Dew: glassy formant lead with octave shimmer

Shore Memory: noisy surf-like texture, slow tides
Whale Drift: deep evolving drone, octave bloom
Mica Rain: click-shimmer texture over a bell layer, huge space
Static Garden: radio-dust atmosphere, filtered noise and partials
Ghost Orbit: dark additive drone over a low saw, slow pan

Rising Signal: hold for a slow noisy riser
Falling Star: bright shimmering hit that dives down in pitch
Data Rain: random computer-chatter arp with sample-and-hold filter. Play a chord
Radio Ghost: detuned shortwave radio voice in noise
Deep Impact: heavy sub boom with falling pitch, noise burst and big tail

Install

Unzip the download.
Copy the folder EtherLoops Dune Vol 1 into DUNE 3's Soundbanks folder: Documents\Synapse Audio\DUNE 3\Soundbanks on Windows, /Library/Application Support/Synapse Audio/DUNE 3/Soundbanks on macOS. (In DUNE's browser you can right-click a soundbank to reveal the folder.)
Close and re-open DUNE 3. EtherLoops Dune Vol 1 appears in the Soundbanks list.
